I don't think the sabres are surprising anyone this year but they are not going to be as bad as everyone thinks by a long shot IMO.

The home team bias is very interesting.

What is it with the new divisions... how many make the playoffs?

The division winners and then the next top 6 from both divisions?

Top 3 from each division, then 2 wild cards with the top 2 records out of the remaining teams in both divisions in the conference.

I don't know why it's not 2 from each division then 4 wildcards...but oh well.
